The Family Partner provides support to parents of clients to increase their knowledge of client’s behavioral health needs and to provide interventions to improve client’s overall wellbeing.

 The ideal candidate has:

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred
  • Parent or caregiver of a child who has received mental health or human services within the past 3 years.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
  • A valid California driver license, current personal auto insurance

Since peer-to-peer support is based on the shared experience of the family and the mentor, Family Partners must have had experience with having a child receive behavioral health services and understand the complex needs of families with a child engaged in services. Family Partners must possess personal qualities that promote partnerships and professional conduct.
