Director of Facilities Operations

The Director of Facilities Operations is a leadership position providing hands on oversight to the facilities’ infrastructures supporting our office, clinic and domestic violence shelter locations as well as tenant occupied medical facilities on the campus. The position has overall responsibility for the condition, functionality and safety of the facility managing day-to-day operations, planning, renovations, maintenance, safety, compliance, and environmental standards and other facilities related services, as well as development and adherence to an operating budget for all AACI facilities.

Required qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience managing operations and maintenance in a public building or high traffic environment. Experience in the operational maintenance of a hospital or healthcare organization preferred
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage building operational services; develop, implement and evaluate a variety of building and operation systems and preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus with a wide variety of people
  • Experience managing capital and expense budgets
  • Knowledge of regulations, procedures or technical reference materials relating to building maintenance
  • Working knowledge of electrical/mechanical/plumbing/structural operating procedures, accident prevention rules, OSHA Regulations
  • Knowledge of emergency operations and Environmental Health and Safety
  • Related  education or training and certification such as FMP, CFM, BOMI, or similar
  • A valid California driver license, current personal auto insurance and an MVR sufficient to maintain insurability under agency auto liability policies.

The job is performed in a public health clinic, office and construction environments. Extensive interaction with the public may be required. This job requires you to be on call. Driving is essential to the function of this job. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.
