The Youth Program Specialist, under the supervision of the Program Lead or Coordinator develops and facilitates substance abuse prevention and healthy lifestyle promotion campaigns for youth, and supports Friday Night Live youth partners in developing leadership skills to better engage in their community.

The ideal candidate:

•    Bachelor level degree in in Health Science, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work or related field; OR Currently enrolled in the 2nd year in an accredited university or college in sociology, psychology, human services or a related field; OR  two years of program administration experience in the areas of community building, social and/or human services. 

•    Knowledge of and experience with professional/technical principles and practices including substance abuse education, health and human services, community providers, and health resources. 

•    Knowledge of youth development/leadership, arts/digital media, and health/wellness promotion.
