Under the direction of the Asian Women’s Home Program Manager, the Grants & Development Lead will be responsible for executing program development efforts including proposal writing for corporate, private foundation and government grants, tracking and reporting on all grants and contracts, and coordinating individual gifts and in-kind donations. This work will be done in coordination with the overall agency’s resource development plan. Oversee all aspects of grant proposal development (for government, foundation and corporate grants), including conceptualization, budgeting, writing, editing, and managing deadlines.

The ideal candidate:

  • Knowledge of grant writing and reporting, community issues, and/or nonprofit capacity building.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Business, Communications, Public Health or other relevant fields or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years professional writing experience preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information effectively and confidentially
  • Excellent grasp of technology and computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Foxit, Canva or Adobe Photoshop, Bloomerang or other CRM database knowledge
  • Valid Driver’s License, vehicle for agency travel and current automobile insurance.
  • Must be willing to complete 40 hours of state-mandated domestic violence training.
