The Program Assistant supports the Program Lead oversee the daily operation of the Senior Program. The Program Assistant supports with the coordination of recreational activities, education classes, and special events.  This role is responsible for assisting the Senior Nutrition Program including daily operations, monthly reporting and quarterly meetings. This is an hourly part time position working 20 hours per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting at 8 am

Required qualifications

  • Minimum of one year relevant work experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Willing and able to obtain Food Safety Certificate through county.
  • Excellent customer service and ability to multitask
  • Work independently and as a team member; recognize and set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Operate a computer using word processing and business software and other office equipment.
  • Observe safety principles, manage risk, and work in a safe manner.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License, vehicle for agency travel and current automobile insurance
  • Written and verbal fluency in an Asian language, Mandarin or Vietnamese preferred
