Youth Program Specialist Part Time

The Youth in Technology Incubator (YTI) Specialist will  coordinate and support marketing, community engagement and outreach, and campaign and youth development for Santa Clara County youth ages 12-24 to better engage in their community. This is a 20 hour per week role.

About this role:

  •  Develop and deploy social media posts on a consistent basis
  • - Produce marketing and media to support YTI online presence (i.e. videos, graphics, etc.)
  • - Create working relationships with outside organizations or community based organizations in conjunction with Program Lead and/or Program Specialist
  • - Outreach to and correspond with community about the Youth in Technology Incubator program
  • - Identify and gather community resources related to substance use prevention and wellness
  • - Facilitate YTI workshops for youth ages 12-24 with support of YTI staff
  • - Document YTI workshops through photography and videography for funder requirements
  • - Gather data, information, and resources to support YTI staff
  • - Provide workshop and training campaign development support

The ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education, Communication, Marketing, Creative Arts, or other directly related education program or equivalent experience.
  • Interested in supporting youth and young adults in development skillsets in technology, arts, and media.
  • Passion for youth empowerment and leadership development.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Efficient time management and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
